Cycle #6 ~ CD 17 *hospital day 5*

 

So yeah today is day # 5 of DD "J"'a hospital stay for gallstones and pancreatitis.  Today was surgery day (FINALLY!) and they removed her gallbladder.  Her pancreatitis has just about cleared up on its own.  In case anyone is curious, she's age 14 + 1 month and she's a little overweight but not by that much.  She does have a typical teen diet of soda and pizza, spaghetti and chocolate milk and a distinct hatred of anything resembling a vegetable other than a potato.  Plus a family history of gallstones.  It is *not* typical for someone this young to have gallbladder issues.  Just didn't want anyone to be thinking omg I had no idea it could happen that young.  It usually doesn't even if someone has a horrible diet and is overweight (as I was at that age and I didn't have my gallbladder out until I was 28).  Anywho....

So let me try to recap.  

Day 1 was Friday which is when I brought her to the ER and she was admitted early that morning.  In TTC land that was CD 13.  I thought I could be 2dpo but wasn't sure.

Day 2 was Saturday and I blogged about that day.  This night I had pink spotting mixed with ewcm after a BM.  Took an OPK which was negative.

Day 3 was Sunday and I thought I could be 4dpo.  On this morning I had a VERY intense wave of nausea while standing in the bakery/cafe of the hospital.  I also had horrible heartburn this day all day but haven't had it since.  I take Nexium daily for heartburn so it was highly unusual for me to have it out of the blue and even stranger that it lasted 3/4 of the day.  I finally had to take some chewables for relief!  The nausea episode was weird.  I legit thought I was about to hurl and be super embarrassed in the middle of the cafe.  My brain automatically said "omg I'm pregnant" cuz....morning sickness.  It's suddenness reminded me of that MS I used to get with Jordyn.  There wasn't the usual nausea beforehand....it was just instant.  I didn't puke though (thankfully)!  I also thought afterward that I'm only 4dpo if I even O'd.  This night I had another pink spotting mixed with ewcm.  Very, very strange!!  WTF?!?!?!

Day 4 was Monday and we thought her surgery would be this day but nope - next day.  So today nothing notable happened that I can think of other than continued ewcm and my temp dropped this morning.  Implant?  Bout to O? If I O'd on cd 11 I would be 5dpo.

Day 5 is today!  DD had her surgery today.  It's been a whirlwind, stressful, emotionally taxing day.  My cycle was not on my mind.  Temp even lower this morning.  Now really feeling like there's a 90% chance I have NOT O'd yet cuz it would be unusual to have a 2 day implantation with all these gobs of ewcm on 5 and 6 dpo, right?

 

So there's tonight's opk.  It's almost positive - I mean not *almost* but close.  Which could mean I missed the surge.  Or maybe haven't had it yet.  I'll have to see what my temp does tomorrow and just keep an eye on things.  As of today I'm pretty sure I haven't O'd yet but I suspect I will SOON as in tomorrow or Thursday.  Hoping the spotting will indicate a strong O coming up!  If I did already O on cd 11 then I'm 6dpo today (7dpo cuz it's 1 minute after midnight lol). They kept DD another night so tomorrow we will go home finally, and I can re-evaluate my cycle again and see where I think I stand.

I'm 2dpo today (April 21st, 2017).  I began this cycle on April 4th (my 3rd PP cycle).  I ovulated a day or two earlier than my usual, which could be due to some fertility supplement I'm taking - which I'll go into detail about in a future post. Here's my positive OPK progression:   My test on CD 15 around 1pm was the first one I considered positive, but then my 8pm test as well as my CD 16 tests were also positive.  My most positive test was on CD 16 around noon.  This is the only one where the test line was darker than the control line, though not dramatically so.  This is what I would consider to be my peak day, also the last day of ewcm and the day I felt ovulation pain (around 6-7pm that day).  I don't always feel O pains, but they were very prominent this month and on the right ovary. This is my chart as of today (2dpo):   I'm hoping to see my crosshairs tomorrow at 3dpo!  This is the best looking chart I've had yet - which gives me hop...

Cycle #5 ~ 10 dpo

  Ugh.  That's the only word I can use for today.  BFN Wondfo and FRER with FMU.  Like not even a hint of a line.  I really feel like this is the end of the line and AF will be here by Sunday (12dpo), Monday at the latest.  I'm just so fed up with it all, and when I get to this point in my cycle where I've realized the chances of a BFP are slim to none, I just think...ok let's just get on with it then.  I know they say 10 dpo is still really early but it's actually not.  Not when you have pregnancy tests that pick up extremely low levels of hcg.  And yes some don't get bfp until 11, 12 dpo or even later but they're the exception, not the rule.  At least it feels that way.  So yeah....just waiting on the witch to arrive.  I hope my Clomid arrives in time for me to use it.  It's sitting in customs in NYC at the moment.  This mornings stupid BFN's.....       *Update* I got some sleep finally, and woke up w...

Cycle #10 ~ CD 11

Well here we are in November.  I’m very conflicted right now because I’m just to that point where I don’t know what else to do to get pregnant.  I’ve done everything that’s within my power.  Part of me wants to just throw my hands up and give up.  I’m almost 40.  DH is 47.  My girls are 14 and 15.  Maybe it’s just too late.  I have to be okay with the possibility of not having a baby.  And I’m so not okay with that, but I don’t know what else to do. As the holidays creep closer and the anniversary of Jackson’s birth/death nears, I just feel this heaviness, this weight that I can’t seem to shake and the closer it gets, the more anxious I feel.  I don’t understand why this happened to me.  I so badly want to just erase it and start again.  I want my son.  And that, I cannot have.  At least not in this life. AF was four days long, fairly heavy.  Then there was four days of spotting.  I am not temping this cycle...
